why i started this blog

I’m over 50, and I’ve seen it all when it comes to health claims. The miracle supplements that promise eternal youth. The diets that supposedly “hack” your metabolism. The biohacking devices that cost thousands and deliver pennies worth of benefit.

For decades, I’ve watched people—friends, family, colleagues—get swept up in health fads, spending their hard-earned money on products that either don’t work or haven’t been properly tested. I’ve seen the confusion in their eyes when one “expert” contradicts another, when last year’s superfood becomes this year’s dietary villain.

But what really frustrated me was realizing that our entire healthcare system is built backwards. We wait until people get sick, then we treat the symptoms. We spend billions on medications and procedures but relatively little on the simple lifestyle interventions that could prevent many of these problems in the first place.
